- Lisa is a proud Anishinaabe/Métis woman from Pine Creek First Nation and calls Brandon her home.
- She is part of the Al and Bee Indigenous Student Transition Program
- She is committed to becoming a catalyst for positive change, working alongside Indigenous leaders and allies to create inclusive spaces where Indigenous voices are heard, respected and celebrated
- Her excellent GPA is a result of her dedication and values of education
- Lisa is an active member of the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre and attends workshops and ceremonies regularly
- Her philosophy in life revolves around the interconnectedness of all living things and the environment. She believes that by understanding and respecting these connections, we can create a more sustainable and equitable world

I will #BreakTheBias by using my unique perspective as an Anishinaabe/Métis woman in environmental science to challenge stereotypes, promote inclusivity in fields, and advocate for the integration of traditional Indigenous knowledge with contemporary environmental practices for holistic stewardship of our planet.
