Natasha VanDamme
What education have you taken?
I’m working on my second year of a four-year bachelor of science with a major in chemistry.
What accomplishments are you proud of?
I received the Governor General Bronze Medal at my graduation which I was pretty proud of. The volunteering project that meant the most to me was directing a Christmas Program for my community a couple years ago.
Tell me about yourself.
I grew up on a mixed farm outside of a small rural community in a very close-knit family. I’ve always enjoyed sports but I excel at academics.
How did you become interested in your field of study?
My high school science teacher got me interested in the chemistry field.
What is your philosophy in life?
I work on a day by day basis – take each day as it comes and try meet the challenges that each day brings as well as possible. It does no good to borrow trouble that can best be dealt with at a different time.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
I see myself in some kind of teaching position once I finish my degree where I could help others.
