Joanne B. Ciulla is Professor and Coston Family Chair in Leadership and Ethics at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, University of Richmond, where she is one of the school’s founders. She has been visiting professor at the University of Fort Hare, held the UNESCO Chair in Leadership Studies at the United Nations International Leadership Academy (Jordan), and had academic appointments at the La Salle University, Harvard Business School, and The Wharton School. A Ph.D. in philosophy, Ciulla and has published extensively on leadership ethics and business ethics. In 2013 she published a co-edited three-volume set, Leadership Ethics (Sage). She sits on the editorial boards of The Business Ethics Quarterly, Leadership, and The Leadership Quarterly. She has presented and taught seminars at the Aspen Institute, The World Economic Forum, The Brookings Institution, and business, government, and educational organizations around the world. Ciulla is past president of the Society for Business Ethics and the current president of the International Society for Business, Economics, and Ethics.
