Graduating Scholarships & Awards
A graduating scholarship is money and a graduating award is a formal honour granted to a student after their final year of study primarily on the basis of high academic standing, though other criteria may apply (such as acceptance to a graduate/professional school).
Recommended & Automatic-consideration Graduating Scholarships
Many graduating scholarships and awards are recommended or automatic-consideration, meaning that no application is required. Every student who meets all of the eligibility criteria below will be considered:
- Registration in Brandon University courses during the prior year;
If you are a BU student who was on an approved exchange during the prior year, please see Considerations for Outgoing Exchange Students. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.
(Scholarship recipients typically have GPAs closer to 4.00.)
Applied-For Graduating Scholarships
A number of applied-for graduating scholarships and awards are also available, meaning that you have to submit an application in order to be considered. To be considered, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria below:
- Registration in Brandon University courses during the prior year;
