Declaring Financial Need
To be considered for scholarship-bursaries or bursaries (awards with a financial need component), you need to submit complete and accurate information on your financial situation. You will need to submit details on both your expenses and income:
EXPENSES
- Tuition & fees (8 months Sept-April)
- Books & equipment (8 months Sept-April)
- Rent/residence fees/mortgage payments (monthly)
- Phone & internet (monthly)
- Heat, electricity, & water (monthly)
- Home/rental insurance (monthly)
- Food (monthly)
- Clothing (monthly)
- Transportation (monthly)
- Child care (monthly)
- Other monthly expense amounts – be prepared to explain what these are
INCOME
- Personal employment income (monthly)
- Household memmber(s) employment income (monthly)
- Provincial/regional student loans (monthly)
- Provincial/regional bursaries/grants (monthly)
- External (non-BU) scholarships & bursaries (monthly)
- Government support (monthly)
- Parent/family/spouse contributions (monthly)
- RESP(monthly)
- Personal savings (including summer job earnings) (monthly)
- Line of credit/bank loan (monthly)
- Other monthly income amounts – be prepared to explain what these are
