Funding & Scholarships Opportunities

Manitoba Student Aid

The Manitoba Student Aid program provides loans, grants and bursaries to Manitobans who need help paying for school. Students do not have to make payments or pay interest on loans while a full-time student. For more information and the application process, check out the Manitoba Student Aid website.

Students with Disabilities

If you have a Manitoba Student Aid-verified disability, you are eligible for the same loans, grants and bursaries as other full-time and part-time students. However, you may also be eligible for grants that take into account your disability.

These grants have recently been expanded to include students with disabilities with persistent or prolonged disabilities.

Permanent Disability is any impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment – or a functional limitation – that:

  • Restricts your ability to perform the daily activities necessary to pursue studies at a post-secondary school level or participate in the labour force, and;
  • Is expected to remain with you for your expected life.

Persistent or Prolonged Disability is any impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment – or a functional limitation – that:

  • Restricts your ability to perform the daily activities necessary to pursue studies at a post-secondary school level or to participate in the labour force, and;
  • Has lasted, or is expected to last, for a period of at least 12 months and is not a permanent disability.

For more information visit the Manitoba Student Aid website.

You will need to schedule an appointment with the SAS Coordinator to complete the Canada Student Grant Equipment and Services request form.
