Staircase repairs — Brodie & Darrach Hall link

Two major projects affecting two campus entrances are ongoing at the same time this fall. We hope to minimize the impact on campus.

The repair and replacement of the Darrach Hall link north entrance is scheduled from Monday, October 7 until November 15, 2024.  At times, there will be high noise level and some vibration due to the demolition of the existing stairs. During the demolition of the stairs on October 9–10, the temporary staircase on the north side entrance of the link will be closed to everyone and alternate entrances should be used during this time.

The Brodie building south entrance landing will be undergoing repair from October 7 until November 22, 2024. The construction will involve demolishing and sandblasting which will result in high noise level and vibration at times. There will be barricades around the area, inside and outside, with signage around the area. During this time, this entrance will be closed and alternate entrances will need to be used to enter into the Brodie building.

These are both necessary and time-sensitive repairs. We apologize for any inconvenience they may cause and appreciate your patience during this time.
