Power restored to campus — computer access may be affected

The Brandon University campus was affected by a large-scale power outage on Thursday afternoon, May 7, that lasted roughly 30 minutes. Emergency generators kicked in, and power now appears to be restored to campus.

If you were accessing your on-campus office computer remotely (for example through Remote Desktop), it may be powered off now after the power outage, and will need to be powered back on to regain access. You will have to attend to campus to do this. You may need to work with your supervisor to arrange your visit so we can continue to limit the number of people who are in any one area on campus at any time.
