Power interruptions expected

Brief power outages have been occurring on campus at BU. The weather is affecting MB Hydro’s main line feeds and causing power disruptions.

Please be aware that with the intermittent power disruptions, elevator operations may be temporarily affected. If you are caught in a paused elevator, stay calm. The buzzer and emergency phone will continue to work so you can contact Physical Plant.

With the amount of rain we are receiving, we may be seeing roof leaks and dripping. The power outages have also caused disruptions to the alarms and IT network.

If you notice leaks, dripping, an elevator outage, alarms going off or other beeping, please contact Physical Plant as soon as possible so they can get to fixing it.
