Research Interests
Michelle Lam, PhD, is the director of BU CARES Research Centre, an applied research centre in the Faculty of Education at Brandon University. She lives and works on Treaty 2 territory, which is traditional shared land between the Dakota and Ojibway, and home to the Métis peoples. Dr. Lam is a co-host on the Leaning in and Speaking Out podcast, the creator of the Refugee Journeys Board Game, and the producer and lead researcher for four anti-racism education films based on experiences of racism in Manitoba. She is interested in anti-racist educational interventions, human migration, newcomer integration, and education's role in promoting equity in rural areas.
