The objectives of this report are to present and analyze available information on the changes that are occurring in the trade centre functions both within and among Manitoba’s cities, towns and villages. Internal restructuring of the number and types of business and services are reviewed to examine the changes occurring in different sizes of communities and in different regions. Central place analysis was employed to access the restructuring of functional roles among trade centres in the province.
