Please contact the BU Bookstore to purchase at brandonu@bkstr.com or 204-727-9732.
This Guide emerged from a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada funded research project that examined the determinants of health of rural populations and communities. It is intended to be a “hands-on” tool that can be used by rural and northern communities, and others, to look at the health and well-being of their communities from a variety of perspectives. Chapters 1 – 4 provide information, insight and ideas for community development, rural community health and well-being, and processes for community engagement and action. Chapter 5 consists of a number of reproducible materials for use by communities.
