This collaborative project on quality of life (QOL) focuses on the collection and analysis of data
from a sample of individuals from Puerto Vallarta as well as from four towns close to Puerto
Vallarta, in Jalisco state, Mexico. The fours towns are El Tuito, Ixtapa, Las Palmas, and
Tomatlán. The study is part of a long-term enterprise that seeks to examine the effects of tourism
on the QOL of places and people in Jalisco as tourism increases in the coming years.
