Brandon University Campus Art Work
As you walk around the grounds on campus at Brandon University you will see many works of art, many which were created by faculty and staff.
- The Bobcat is a bronze work of art donated by Peter Sawatzky and represents the BU Mascot
- Boulder in front of Glen P. Sutherland Art Gallery
- Praire Reflections created by former BU President Louis Visentin
- Metal Tipi installed in 2018 as part of the Tipi Tour Legacy Project
- Brandon University sign donated by the class of 1968, whis was the first class to graduate after BU became a university
- Ceremonial Fire Pit
- The Explorer is a piece that was commissioned for Expo ’67 in Montreal and was donated to Brandon University. It was created by artist Victor Tolgesy
- Kavanagh Courtyard was inaugurated in 2008 as the BU Sculpture Garden
- The new Brandon University sign which was erected in 2020
- Gyration “The Candlesticks” is a piece that was created by BU’s Lin Xu for the sculpture garden
- The Cairn in front of Clark Hall is made of stones from the original Prarie College and was contructed in 1999 by Mike Brewer a local stonesman
- The Eagle teaches us Love
- The Buffalo teaches us Respect
- The Sabe teaches us Honesty
- The Bear teaches us courage
- The Turtle teaches us trust
- The Wolf teaches us Humility
- The Beaver teaches us Wisdom
