Recorded Audition*

Performance and Literature applicants who are unable to arrange a live audition must submit a recent video file or web audio/video link(s). These should be approximately fifty minutes in length and include a variety of repertoire. Admission decisions based on recorded auditions are provisional until successful completion of an on-campus audition. Auditions or audition videos for the Collaborative Piano program will demonstrate accompaniment abilities.

Graduate Assistantships are available on a case-by-case basis to graduate students studying at the School of Music. These assistantships are paid positions where students work closely with a faculty member in their area of study and assist with tasks such as research, administrative tasks, marking tests/assignments, class prep, tutoring, and more.

Graduate Assistant Dossier*

A limited number of Graduate Assistantships are available to qualified applicants. Information as to the anticipated value of these assistantships in a given year may be obtained from the Chair of the Graduate Music Department. To be considered for an assistantship, applicants must submit a dossier outlining particular areas of instructional experience and academic strength. These will be considered in assessing their qualifications for particular teaching or work assignments.

English Proficiency Requirement

Except those from exempted countries, International students whose mother tongue is not English will be required to submit evidence acceptable to the University or the School of Music. The Admissions Office will not accept English proficiency results more than two-years old.
