Clarinet Festival 2014

The Brandon University Clarinet Festival is an exciting annual event that brings together professional musicians, music educators, clarinet enthusiasts, and students of all levels. Join us on Saturday, April 26th for the fourth annual BU Clarinet Festival featuring prolific recording artist and Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas. This year’s festival also welcomes acclaimed guest artist Michelle Goddard (Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra).
Great PD opportunity for educators and students of all ages! The festival events include:
- Jazz/Improv Workshop with Greg Gatien (all instruments welcome)
- Masterclass by Joaquin Valdepeñas
- Orchestral Audition Workshop by Michelle Goddard
- Mass Festival Clarinet Choir for all participants (all levels) with guest conductor Graydon Cramer
- Concerts featuring BU clarinet ensembles, mass festival clarinet choir
- Final evening concert featuring guest artists Joaquin Valdepeñas, Michelle Goddard and BU’s own Cathy Wood
All events take place at Brandon University School of Music. Dorm and hotel rooms available.

McMaster Hall Residence Rooms
Double occupancy is $30/night/person plus applicable taxes
Single occupancy is $40/night plus applicable taxes
If students arrive after hours, please call RA on duty at 204-724-2263. That person will meet students at office, at the base of McMaster Hall, and get everyone set up with their keys, fob and pass.
