The Guitar Ensemble provides opportunities for aspiring professional classical guitarists to prepare and perform quality ensemble literature that has been written or arranged for their instrument. Its intentions are to broaden the students’ future ability to earn a living with the instrument; to provide knowledge and insight to aspiring professional guitar educators, so as to give them experience and material that will be of use to them in their teaching careers; and to foster an atmosphere of collegiality and teamwork in a discipline whose primary focus tends to be in the area of solo performance.
