Program Costs

Tuition fees

Brandon University charges per-course fees for graduate programs. Information on tuition and other fees as well as fee deadlines and payment methods can be obtained from Financial and Registration Services.

Travel costs

Students in the Master of Psychiatric Nursing program are required to attend a 2-3 day on-campus session each year. Students are responsible for their own expenses. Costs for travel and accommodation will vary depending upon the distance travelled and accommodations selected.

On-campus accommodation may be available. If you plan to stay in residence, be sure to call (204) 727-9761 or email residence@brandonu.ca to make arrangements for arrival (e.g. check-in time, availability of food services, parking).

A number of hotels are located within a 3 km radius, but none are adjacent to the university. More distant hotels, such as those located on the Trans-Canada Highway, are about 6 km away.

Practicum costs

Both courses in the selected stream include a practicum component. Practicum placements are negotiated between the student, course instructor, and practicum sites. The practicum site is chosen based on ability to meet student learning needs, and efforts are made to select local placements where possible. Local placement cannot be guaranteed.

Equipment costs

Participation in online courses requires:

  • regular access to high-speed internet
  • a computer with current software (minimum Microsoft Office 2010).

If you do not already have access to the necessary equipment, this may represent an additional cost for you.
