Pre-requisite: Admission to the Master of Psychiatric Nursing Program.

The focus of this course is on the administrative aspect of health services delivery and psychiatric nursing practice. The emphasis will be on administrative theory, organizational structure and processes, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the administration of health care at the unit and organizational levels. Theoretical concepts and evidence relevant to administrative roles in the health care system will be explored as a basis for leadership roles in advanced psychiatric nursing practice. Students will apply theory to selected practice settings.
