Duties:
Individuals are required to serve as invigilators during the Fall Term final exam period (Dec 9-18). Duties include assisting faculty with checking student IDs, monitoring students during exam writing, watching for unauthorized materials, electronic devices or other non-permitted items, and assisting with distribution/collection of exam materials.
Invigilators may be required for the following dates/times: Dec 9 – 1:30-5:30 & 6:30-10:30; Dec 10 – 8:30-12:30 & 6:30-10:30; Dec 11 – 8:30-12:30 & 6:30-10:30; Dec 12 – 8:30-12:30, 1:30-5:30 & 6:30-10:30; Dec 14 – 8:30-12:30 & 1:30-5:30; Dec 16 – 6:30-10:30; and Dec 18 – 8:30-12:30 (all dates/times subject to change).
Successful candidates may also be required to attend a one-hour training session prior to the exam period.
Qualifications/Experience:
Current and former Brandon University students may be hired to serve as student invigilators. Any student who has been on Academic Suspension or Withdrawal, or has been found responsible for an act of Academic Dishonesty, may not serve as a student invigilator.
Preference may be given to students who have previously completed course(s) relevant to exams, who are third- or fourth-year students, and/or to students who have completed at least one in-person final exam at Brandon University.
