Duties:

The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for Student Assistants for the following courses during the Winter 2023/24 term:

74:152 General Physics I                        Lab Assistant                Up to 4 hrs per wk for up to 10 wks
74:162 Foundations of Physics I           Lab Assistant                Up to 4 hrs per wk for up to 10 wks

The successful candidates will lay out lab equipment before labs, answer student questions during lab periods, put away equipment after lab periods, and other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Successful completion of course(s) for which they are applying
• Demonstrated success in other Physics courses
• Ability to meet deadlines (reliable and punctual)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to understand and explain experimental procedures
