Duties:

Provide general directions and information relating to the Faculty of Science and the J.R. Brodie Building for Orientation Week. Flexibility and willingness to work varying days/hours during the first week of classes.

Assist with basic and routine inquiries. Assist guests, visitors, students, and/or other individuals by providing a positive experience through good customer service. Organizing and/or maintaining tasks as assigned. Light physical duties – lift, move, carry items as required. May include handling merchandise (unpack, organize, repack).

Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:
Be able to take direction, follow instruction and work under close supervision. Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively. Ability to work courteously with the public. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Preference given to current Brandon University student, and to Faculty of Science student.

Past experience working with the public or in a retail environment is an asset.
