Qualifications/Experience:

In this project, BU CARES has partnered with the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre at Brandon University to facilitate a film and photography-based research project exploring Indigenous youth perspectives on identity. Research assistants’ duties and responsibilities include:
-Preparing literature reviews
-Performing administrative duties to support research activities and events
-Assisting in data collection, data entry, analysis, and interpretation
-Performing data/word processing and record keeping
-Assisting with production of articles, publications, reports, and presentations
and other relevant duties as assigned.

Duties:

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Education and training in qualitative research methods
-Education and training related to research involving Indigenous communities
-Experience or knowledge of film or photography production, an asset
-Minimum 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student
-Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants
