Contract Academic Staff, Laboratory Instructor, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Winter Term

The Department of Biology at Brandon University invites applications for a sessional laboratory instructor for 15:262 Plant Biology (1.5 credit hours) for the term beginning January 2025.

Qualifications: MSc in Biology preferred, with completion of BSc in Biology required. The successful applicant must have university teaching experience related to plants, or evidence of successful completion of university level courses in plant biology. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to the MSc or BSc degree and are invited to contact the Chair of the Selection Committee on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials.

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will deliver the laboratory class for 15:262 Plant Biology in person from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings, as well as putting specimens away and cleaning up.

Application Deadline: 4:00 p.m. Central Time on November 21, 2024, or until the position is filled.

Start date: January 7, 2025.
Salary: $6,901.00 per 3 credit hour course.
