Contract Academic Staff, Clinical Instructors – Faculty of Health Studies
Achieving a standard of excellence in nursing and psychiatric nursing education demands the efforts of excellent contract clinical instructors. The Faculty of Health Studies offers four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Nursing (Brandon) and Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon and Winnipeg). At various times of the academic year contract clinical instructors are required to provide clinical instruction to students who are assigned to clinical placements across different practice settings (community, acute and long-term care) in Brandon, Winnipeg, or other urban and rural centers on a contract basis. Shift rotation may be required on days, evenings or weekends.
Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will hold a bachelor degree in nursing or psychiatric nursing with a minimum of two years clinical experience in a related field with relevant teaching experience(medical/surgical, mental health, long term care, maternal/child).
- All candidates must hold current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
Salary: $6901 per 3 credit hour course (effective September 1, 2024)
