Wage or Salary: $20.69 / hour

Hours of Work: 10-15 hours per week

Length of Appointment: December 9, 2024 to May 2, 2025

Duties:

1. Research and create written reports on best-practices in the area of career-related initiatives
2. Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of career-related initiatives and events (e.g. registration, promotion, and manage day-of)
3. Assist students with locating available career and employment resources
4. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
5. Receive, edit, and maintain information on the Career Planning and Placement website (including job postings, career events, career links, social media, etc.)
6. Provide high-quality professional service when addressing inquiries from students, staff and employers
7. Other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

1. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and/or with others effectively
2. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
3. Preference given to current Brandon University student; enrollment in graduate degree program preferred
4. Extensive computer skills including familiarity with social media and website maintenance
5. Demonstrated effective prioritization and time management abilities
6. Event planning experience an asset
