Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Experience Office Assistant supports the Director of Field Experience in organizing placements for more than 300 Education students. Building positive relationships with school and division representatives is crucial to this role. This position is responsible for developing and managing spreadsheets for field placements; facilitating student teaching placements under the Director’s guidance; and administering contracts for field experience supervisors. Additional tasks in this position involve assisting in event planning and coordination (such as orientations, professional development sessions, and career fairs); serving as the main point of contact for students at the front counter by offering guidance, resources, and program support; maintaining student records; and overseeing budgets and other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate must have a minimum Grade 12 plus a one (1) year office administration certificate and three (3) years’ experience in an educational environment or a comparable combination of education and experience is required,
The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a comprehensive understanding of computer systems, and a track record of working autonomously amid interruptions and collaboratively within a team. They should exhibit strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in multitasking, adherence to tight deadlines, and strong problem-solving skills.

*NOTE*

This is a full-time term position until June 30, 2025 or until such time as the regular employee returns. This position is subject to a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. These checks must be submitted in accordance with the Policy in order to maintain employment.
