Lacey is the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Vice-President in the Indigenous Initiatives office. She is Dakota and a member of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation but has resided in Brandon most of her life.

Lacey is a Brandon University Alumni, graduating from BU in 2021 with her Bachelor of Arts 4-Year Undergraduate Degree majoring in psychology and minoring in native studies. Prior to joining the BU team, She was employed at the Brandon Friendship Centre for 9 years as a Wellness Support Worker under the program Aboriginal Healing & Wellness.

She has a son name Reyes who is her pride and joy. She enjoys meeting new people, sharing goals, and helping where she can. Aside from work, she enjoys spending time with her partner, son, family, and friends. Lacey hopes to make new connections and expand her knowledge in Indigenous ways of knowing and being in a post-secondary education setting.
