Guidelines and Nomination Form

Community service is a major function of Canadian universities and Brandon University is no exception. For over a century, faculty, staff, and students have pursued the goal of community service with energy and enthusiasm. I am encouraged by the countless hours of voluntary community service provided by members of our University community which helps to maintain and enrich the quality of life in Brandon and area, the province, and beyond and which supports the Brandon University Strategic Plan.

Annually at Convocation, the Board of Governors presents its Award for Excellence in Community Service to an employee of Brandon University who demonstrates an exemplary commitment to community service and is worthy of this award.

We encourage you to take a few moments of your time to reflect on the service of your colleagues and consider completing the nomination form referenced above.  The deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday, March 1, 2024. Once received, the Board of Governors will review the nominations and select the most worthy recipient.  Please be assured that all nominations are held in confidence.
