Business Administration
The Bachelor of Business Administration program aims to:
- Foster critical thinking and strengthen written and oral communication skills;
- Prepare students for careers in business administration, management or entrepreneurship; and
- Prepare students for further study in business and management.
The Bachelor of Business Administration program is built on a foundation of courses in the core areas of business including accounting, information management, marketing management, human resources, operations and production management and finance. The small business management course requires students to integrate all their knowledge through the preparation and presentation of a comprehensive business plan and through the completion of a consulting project with local businesses. Students interested in obtaining a professional accounting designation are able to complete courses required for admission to the CPA program. These preparatory courses are taken as electives within the BBA.
BBA students complement their business administration studies with a non-business minor, plus courses in the humanities and natural sciences.
Our program provides advanced standing to students who have completed a 2-year college diploma in business administration from a Manitoba college. Students must have attained at least a “B” average and have earned their diploma within the previous five years. Students with diplomas from other colleges are evaluated for admission on an individual basis.
