Bachelor of Business Administration
The BBA program aims to:
• Prepare students for careers in business administration, management or entrepreneurship
• Prepare students for further study in business and management.
• Foster critical thinking and strengthen written and oral communication skills
Built on a foundation of courses in the core areas of business including accounting, information management, marketing management, human resources, operations and production management and finance, the BBA challenges students to refine their knowledge and understanding of general business. The BBA capstone course, Small Business Management, requires students to integrate all their knowledge through the preparation and presentation of a comprehensive business plan and through the completion of a hands on consulting project, working with local businesses. BBA students complement their business administration studies with required co-requisite courses, courses from the humanities and natural sciences and electives of their choice.
Students interested in obtaining a professional accounting designation should consider the Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting as their pathway for admission to the CPA professional program.
An Honours option is also available for the BBA.
Our program provides advanced standing to students who have completed a 2-year college diploma in business administration from a Manitoba college. Students must have attained at least a “B” average and have earned their diploma within the previous five years. Students with diplomas from other colleges are evaluated for admission on an individual basis.
