Position Description:
The Speech Language Pathologist will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in the Student Services Department of the School District of Mystery Lake. The Speech Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with school teams to support student learning. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide services including assessments, programming and consultative services. The Speech Language Pathologist will have access to a well-established library of comprehensive assessment tools, therapy materials and supplies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one other experience Speech Language Pathologist and trained support personnel. This position is under the Teacher’s Collective Agreement and will follow the school calendar.

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must have or in the process of obtaining membership with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM).
• Eligible for the School Clinician’s Certificate
• Work in a collaborative manner with other personnel, parents, and Manitoba Education.

Conditions of Employment:
• Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must provide a satisfactory Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check

Wages include one of the most generous packages in the province, and the rate of pay will be determined by our current collective agreement with the Thompson Teachers Association.
