SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

This role involves managing a client portfolio, overseeing and providing financial guidance, and ensuring timely planning and compliance.  WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Review corporate tax filings, manage client relationships, prepare tax returns, provide tax planning advice, and stay updated on accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review personal tax returns, provide tax planning advice, stay updated on tax law changes, and assist with issues and inquiries.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of working paper files to verify calculations and documentation.
  • Support and monitor the performance of direct reports, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching as needed.
  • Active participation in or lead other projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Must have CPA designation.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in public practice.
  • Licensed in review engagements highly preferred.
  • Proficient in tax accounting practices and CRA regulations
  • Experience in managing and supporting junior staff
  • Proficient in various accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills for interacting with clients and staff.
