SEASONAL LABOURER

Water Treatment Plant - Operations Division

**More than one position may be filled from this competition**

We are looking for motivated individuals that possess:

·        Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License

·        Grade 12, G.E.D, C.A.E.C, or Mature High School Diploma

·        Mechanical Aptitude

·        Safety Training

·        Ability to work in confined spaces

·        Ability to work at various heights

·        Ability to lift up to 50lbs

·        Ability to work in a variety of environments, indoors and outdoors, in all temperature extremes and with a wide range of adverse conditions including obnoxious odours, loud noises or high humidity

Hours of work: The Seasonal Labourer normally works full-time hours (40 hours per week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday).

IMPORTANT: Seasonal Labourers have the opportunity to apply for other opportunities, including permanent positions, which are only open to current City of Brandon CUPE Local 69 employees.

Rate of Pay: $15.30 per hour - 2023 rate.

Duration of position: While most Seasonal Labourer positions are seasonal in nature, usually lasting until late fall, there is the possibility of longer assignments.
