Description

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
- Preference will be given to candidate with a Major in Physical education.
- Demonstrated successful teaching of grade 9-12 Physical Education.
- Sound knowledge of Manitoba Physical Education Curricula.
- A high energy level and commitment to continuous improvement of our excellent athletic program.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- The ability to work in collaboration with other teaching professionals that form the R.D. Parker Physical Education team.
- Ability to coach extra curricular activities and assist in coordinating sports related events and tournaments and willing to travel with teams.
- Willing to program and work with our special needs students in both our Pathways and IDEAL site.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent classroom management skills and flexibility.
- Knowledge and ability to create and maintain a safe educational environment.
- A commitment to culturally proficient education.
- A knowledge and sensitivity to the traditions of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Ability to build a program with a northern perspective.

Wages include one of the most generous packages in the province, and the rate of pay will be determined by our current collective agreement with the Thompson Teachers Association.

Moving Allowance may be available as per Administrative Procedure 2.A.040 available on the School District of Mystery Lake website.
