Description
The ideal candidate will have:

*A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
*Strong knowledge of the Cree language and writing Cree Syllabics.
*A strong academic background and previous successful Cree Bilingual teaching experience at the Early Years or Junior High level.
*Knowledge of K-8 Manitoba curriculum and cross curricular planning.
*Competency in the instruction and assessment of provincial curricula.
*Excellent classroom management skills.
*Ability to work well with teachers in a collaborative environment.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
*Demonstrated ability and experience in the differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
*Ability to build program with a northern perspective.
*A knowledge and sensitivity to the traditions and aspirations of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
*A commitment to culturally proficient education.
Wages include one of the most generous packages in the province, and the rate of pay will be determined by our
current colletive agreement with the Thompson Teachers Association.
Moving Allowance may be available as per Administrative Procedure 2.A.040 available on the School District of
Mystery Lake website.
