The Business Administration program has four main objectives:

1) To prepare students for careers in Business Administration
2) To prepare students for further studies in Business and Management
3) To develop analytical, written, and oral skills essential for success in the business world
4) To graduate students who are knowledgeable about the historical, economic, political, and philosophical context in which individuals, businesses, and societies function.

The Department of Business Administration offers a variety of courses, including entrepreneurship, human resources, business analytics, accounting, finance, and marketing. Our diverse faculty brings valuable business and research experiences directly into the classroom, and students can gain practical experiences and business theories through case analysis, simulations, competitions, field studies, cooperative work placements and work in the professor’s research projects.

The Department of Business Administration offers programs leading to a:

• Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)
  • General stream
  • Accounting stream
  • Talent management stream

Brandon University has long had an excellent reputation both in Canada and abroad for its education in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, Education, and Music. The programs in Business Administration have been designed to recognize and build on this strength. The department also offers a BA degree with a major or minor in Business to allow students to combine their program of choice in Business Administration with a solid exposure to the
Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Bachelor of Arts (Four Year) General, with a Major in Business Administration;
• Bachelor of Arts (Three Years), with a Major in Business Administration;
• Bachelor of Arts (Three Years), with a Minor in Business Administration;
• Business Certificate (One Year)

Another distinctive aspect of our program is that it tailors the accounting and human resources courses for students who wish to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Professional Human Resource (CPHR) designations. These courses cover all the prerequisites required for these designations and can be taken as part of a four year Business degree at Brandon University’s business administration department.
